WHY CT CONTRAST ENHANCEMENT VARIES

From Fixed Protocols to a Personalized Mindset

Presented by Haley Ramirez, BS, R.T.(R)(CT)

Date: May 14, 2026, Time: 7:00 pm

This session examines the physiological and technical drivers of CT contrast variability, specifically the interplay between patient factors, scan energy, and timing. By contrasting traditional fixed protocols with Iodine Delivery Rate (IDR) and Total Iodine Load (IDL), we demonstrate why "one-size-fits-all" dosing fails. It will also provide a framework for standardized personalization to ensure consistent diagnostic enhancement across all patient types.
